The Last Supper as Gen X would have it.

Episode 01: The Last Supper

We Inherited the Ruins.

We were the latchkey kids.

The MTV generation.

Raised on mixtapes, microwave dinners, Saturday morning cartoons, and the unmistakable sound of a screen door slamming behind us.

We learned independence before we understood its cost.

We inherited distrust, sarcasm, broken systems, and the sacred art of saying, “Whatever.”

But beneath the cynicism, there was always something deeper.

A hunger to belong.

A need to be understood.

A longing for something worth believing in.

And so, here we are.

At the table.

Thirteen figures. A familiar gathering. An ancient story told through the eyes of a generation that learned to question everything.

Leonardo da Vinci gave us The Last Supper.

We’re asking what that table might look like if the apostles had grown up with MTV, cassette tapes, and a healthy distrust of authority.

Because the story was never really about the furniture, the food, or the people who appeared to have it all together.

It was about the extraordinary complexity of being human.

Loyalty sitting beside betrayal.

Faith sharing space with doubt.

Love surrounded by imperfection.

And grace refusing to leave the table.

Some at this table will stand beside us.

Some will disappoint us.

Some may even betray us.

Yet there is still a place at the table.

We inherited the ruins. What will we build from them?

Welcome to The Gospel According to Gen X, a visual exploration of faith, humanity, memory, justice, and the generation that learned to survive by questioning everything.

The table is set.

The conversation has only begun.
